Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Click Sign Up in the top navigation bar. You can register with your email address or sign in instantly using your Google account. After registering with email, you'll receive a verification link — click it to activate your account.
Is Codtor free to use?
Yes! Codtor is completely free to use. You can create, publish, and discover projects without any cost. Sign up and start building right away.
I didn't receive a verification email. What should I do?
First, check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, try signing in — the platform will prompt you to resend the verification email. If you still have trouble, contact us and we'll sort it out.

Editor & Projects

How do I create a new project?
Go to /editor after logging in. Write your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the editor panels and see a live preview instantly. Click Save to store your project. You can name it and choose whether it's public or private.
How do I make a project public or private?
Inside the editor, use the visibility toggle to switch your project between Public and Private. Public projects appear in Discover and on your profile. Private projects are only visible to you.
Can I download my project as a file?
Yes. Open your project in the editor and click the Export button. Your project will be downloaded as a single self-contained HTML file you can open in any browser or host anywhere.
What is forking a project?
Forking creates a copy of someone else's public project in your account. You can then edit it freely without affecting the original. It's a great way to learn from others or build on existing work.

Account & Profile

How do I change my password?
Go to Profile → Change Password. Enter your current password and choose a new one. If you signed up via Google, you may not have a password — use the Forgot Password flow to set one.
How do I delete my account?
Account deletion is handled by our support team. Please contact us with the subject "Account Deletion" and we'll process your request within 5 business days.
How do I report a user or inappropriate content?
Please contact us with details about the content or user in question. Include the URL of the content if possible. We review all reports and take action in accordance with our Community Guidelines.
